Cancer: My Teacher

In September 2021, I was diagnosed with breast cancer (IDC). Later that year, in December, I was diagnosed with uterine cancer (endometrial). Below are some of the poems I have written between 2021-2025 as I navigate this overwhelming journey of fear, loss, grief, and–ultimately–holistic wellness. The poems are listed in no particular order, and some of them are accompanied by art I created as part of my healing journey. I offer them to you for your own healing. Bright blessings, Eileen
