“Fanga” Drum and Dance
with Eileen Mielenhausen and Kim O’Brien, facilitators, on the Steamy Buddha lawn, 50 Church St., Ellsworth
Come play with us outdoors at the Steamy Buddha! Bring your djembe or ashiko and Eileen will teach you the song and several drum parts to the African rhythm “Fanga.” Then Kim will teach you the dance steps to this popular rhythm. Attendees are invited to participate in both the drum and dance portions of this program.
No experience necessary! Extra drums will be available for those who don’t have one. We’ll end with an improv dance and drum jam!
